Original antique political poster - I Stand Before You as a Liberal Tory Anything - featuring a satirical cartoon design by the notable New Zealand caricaturist Sir David Alexander Cecil Low (1891-1963) depicting a politician in a pinstripe suit and waistcoat holding up a paper sign that reads - I Stand Before You as a Liberal Tory Anything - with the words Liberal and Tory crossed out on a yellow background, an elephant marked Waste behind him symbolising the "elephant in the room" with a dog labelled Black and Tan, a goat labelled Key Industries Act, a tiger labelled New Wars and a mouse labelled Housing Efforts on the sides. David Low moved to London in 1919 and worked for The Daily News and its evening paper The Star until 1927. Founded in 1846 The Daily News was known for its liberal political stance. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
