Original antique poster entitled Dinner Time featuring a great image of five children sitting on the floor eating their meal from rice bowls using chopsticks with a cat looking on as a girl helps a younger child to eat on one side of the poster, two children help themselves to food in bowls on trays in the centre and a boy sits crossed legged eating at the other end of the poster. Artwork by the American artist, Bess B Cleaveland (1876-1966). Cleaveland was born in Ohio and studied art in New York; she taught art then began illustrating books, magazines and other commercial artwork in ink and watercolour; her favourite subjects were children and animals. Horizontal. Fair condition, cracks, stains, colour parts attached to the poster.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
