The Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran was built by the Great Northern Railway Company (GNRI; 1876-1958) at the end of the 19th century when the town became a popular seaside resort; the Bundoran Golf Club was built at the same time, in 1894. Located at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in the small seaport of Rostrevor Co Down on the Carlingford Lough cove, the Great Northern Railway Company bought The Mourne Hotel (opened 1876) and renamed it the Great Northern Railway Hotel; the hotel was destroyed by a fire bomb during the Northern Ireland Troubles in 1978. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
