Original antique theatre poster for a Drury Lane Pantomime show for children by the playwrights Sir F.C. Burnand, J. Hickory Wood and Arthur Collins. Colourful image by the notable English illustrator, poster designer and cartoonist John Hassall (1868-1948) depicting a scene with Cinderella dressed in ragged clothing holding up an overly fashionable dress for one of her two ugly sisters admiring herself in a mirror next to a box marked Modes with other boxes and a brush in the background. Traditional Christmas pantomimes have been held at the Drury Lane Theatre in Covent Garden London since the early 1700s. Horizontal. Excellent condition.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
