Mid-century refers to the twentieth century design period that influenced all aspects of art and design, including architecture, interiors and graphic design. Typical features of this modernist style include more open floor plans, simple and natural sculptural shapes, Scandinavian forms and forward thinking atomic space age themes to produce objects that would prove to be popular, comfortable and functional.
Many of the posters created during this period are colourful and fun, featuring iconic designs by notable artists with curved geometric shapes, repeating patterns and bold colours.
