☆ Sneak Peek ☆
Our next auction on 28 January includes a few original 1930s architect sketches for new modernist London Underground stations (part of the 1935-1940 London Transport LPTB New Works Programme) + railway architecture posters.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is antikbar-auction-28jan23-sneakpeek-photo-hangar-lane.jpg  In The Spotlight: this sketch for Hanger Lane tube station on the Central Line was designed by the Australian architect Brian B. Lewis who worked for the Great Western Railway GWR. Construction on the building started in 1939 but the project was put on hold during World War Two and completed by Frederick F.C. Curtis in 1949 based on the original design by Lewis.
