Original vintage travel advertising poster published by the British Travel and Holidays Association to promote Salisbury in Wiltshire and its 13th century Cathedral "the finest example of Early English ecclesiastical architecture" as well as several other places of interest including Stonehenge and Wilton House. Great design featuring text below a painting by the notable Romantic artist John Constable (1776-1837) of Salisbury Cathedral framed between trees with its spire rising into a cloudy sky and cows grazing on the grass and drinking the water in the foreground ("A detail of Salisbury Cathedral Wiltshire by the painting by Constable reproduced by permission of the Victoria and Albert Museum"). Printed in Great Britain by Harrison & Sons Limited. Very good condition, small folds and creases in margins.
