LT Rehabilitation London Underground WWII Flooding Protection
Rare original vintage poster issued by London Underground "Rehabilitation As a protection against flooding 153 anti-flood doors and concrete bulkheads were fitted at 36 stations: a major engineering feat. These obstructions are being removed - but It Takes Time" one of a series published after the end of World War Two by London Transport across the London train, tram, bus and underground networks. Great artwork by Fred Taylor (1875-1963) showing men working in a station removing the concrete blocking the access tunnel to the trains with the text above and below. Printed in England by The Baynard Press. Very good condition, restored folds, small pinholes and tears, backed on linen.
