The High Saxony region comprised ten Imperial circles formed by Emperor Maximillan in 1512. The cities and larger towns marked on the map that still exist today in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic include Berlin, Dresden, Weimar, Hanover, Schweinfurt, Gorlitz, Rakovnik etc.
